Buffalo Bills Pro Bowl offensive lineman Dion Dawkins is back for another season of collaboration with AAA Western and Central New York. And this time, the partnership is bigger, bolder, and more impactful than ever.

Known for his dynamic personality and deep ties to the community, Dawkins has become more than just a spokesperson. He’s a true ambassador for AAA’s values of protection, service, and connection with the community.

The Shnowman meets AAA

Dawkins’ relationship with AAA is rooted in real-life experience. Growing up in Rahway, New Jersey, Dawkins' family relied on AAA for help with flat tires, cracked windshields, and dead batteries — especially during the harsh winter months. His childhood snow-day hustle, warming up cars and shoveling driveways for neighbors, earned him the nickname “Shnowman” and laid the foundation for a partnership built on shared values.

“I’d wake up early, grab a shovel, double up on socks, and ask people if they wanted their car started to get it nice and warm,” Dawkins recalled in a AAA article published in 2022.

That same spirit of service is what AAA brings to its members every day — and it’s what made Dawkins the perfect fit for an official partnership with AAA.

Protecting what matters most

In 2024, AAA launched a series of social media videos featuring Dawkins that blended humor, authenticity, and helpful messaging. Whether teaming up with Buffalo comedian Mark Saldana or riffing on winter driving tips, Dion’s charisma and familiar face helped AAA connect with a broader audience.

Earlier this year, AAA released the tongue-in-cheek “Protector of the Year” award, presented to Dawkins in a video series that paralleled Dawkins’ ability to protect the quarterback with AAA’s valuable protective services.

What started as a playful social concept soon became something much bigger. Dawkins, a vocal supporter of the NFL instituting an official award for offensive linemen, began using the “Protector of the Year” phrase in press interviews leading up to the AFC Championship game.

The buzz around Dawkins’ campaign became a reality. In May, the NFL officially adopted “Protector of the Year” as a new award honoring offensive lineman, with Dawkins credited for championing the idea.

New season, new connections

Dawkins recently recorded fresh AAA content that will roll out throughout the NFL season and beyond. From fun social videos, to personal greetings, to voice messaging in AAA’s phone system, AAA Members will hear and see Dawkins in new and engaging ways.

Whether he’s sharing driving tips, promoting AAA’s travel services, or simply bringing a smile to members’ faces, Dawkins’ presence helps AAA stand out — and stay connected.

Beyond the football field and away from the media spotlight, Dawkins continues to give back through his foundation, Dion’s Dreamers, which supports youth mentorship and environmental awareness. His commitment to Buffalo mirrors AAA’s dedication to the communities it serves.

“People give their time to what matters to them, and I choose to give it to the community,” Dawkins said.

With new content, national recognition, and a growing connection to AAA Members, Dion Dawkins is helping AAA redefine what it means to be a protector — on the field, on the road, and in the community.
