Shape the future of Thruway fuel stops — survey closes soon
The New York State Thruway Authority is redesigning its fueling facilities — and your feedback will help shape what they look like for years to come.
With current fuel contracts set to expire in 2027, the Thruway Authority is gathering public input now to guide the next fuel services agreement. This is your chance to influence what kind of fuel options, payment methods, convenience store features, and sustainability initiatives will be available at the 27 service areas along the Thruway system.
“The Thruway Authority is dedicated to providing a modern, efficient and customer-first experience for every traveler that uses our system,” said Thruway Authority Executive Director Frank G. Hoare, Esq. in a press release.
The survey, which takes less than five minutes to complete, will remain open through the end of September. It is designed to gather feedback on a wide range of topics including preferred fuel types, payment options, convenience store features, and sustainability initiatives.
You can access the survey at ThruwayFuel.com.
In 2024, New York State Thruway Service Areas welcomed more than 21.4 million visitors and sold more than 58.2 million gallons of gas and diesel fuel. The Thruway Authority’s Service Area Redesign and Redevelopment Project is winding down with one final location scheduled to reopen by the end of 2025.
