The New York State Thruway Authority is developing a Comprehensive Safety Action Plan, and if you drive on the Thruway regularly, they’re looking for your feedback.

The Authority says that community, employee, customer, and member perspectives are critical — especially from audiences that may not typically participate in planning efforts.

Individuals can share safety concerns, near misses, or locations of concern by dropping a pin on the interactive map and adding a brief comment at https://www.thruwaysafety.org/share-your-thoughts-1-1 (simply click the ? icon on the top-left corner of the map for instructions).

The goal is to make travel safer for motorists, commercial drivers, and employees along the 570-mile system. The project team is hoping to reach 1,000 comments/safety suggestions from users to ensure the safety analysis is as comprehensive as possible.
